Joint Type Ring (RTJ) Revata Engineering Gaskets are precision machined, metal sealing rings suitable for high temperatures and high pressure applications.
Joint Gasket Rings are designed to close with "initial contact line" or wedging action between mating flange and gasket. By applying the pressure on the seal interface through the strength of the bolt, the soft metal of the gasket flows into the micro-fine structure of the flange material harder, creating a very tight and efficient seal.
Revata Ring Joint Gasket Machines are manufactured in accordance with API-6A and ASME B16.20 specifications and come in four basic types:
R (Oval Type) Joint Gasket Ring
R (Octagonal Type) Joint Gasket Ring
RX Style Ring Joint Gasket
BX Ring Style Joint Gasket
This basic form of Ring Joint Gaskets is used in a variety of applications with pressures of up to 20,000 PSI. The dimensions are standard and require special flanged grooves by which the appropriate "R" or "BX" numbers are assigned to pipe sizes and pressure classes for gasket identification.
